Birds on Glue It Tuesday

I need to work  on catching up on my art journal (my goal is to do a spread for each week of the year). As mentioned before, I went to Stockholm two weeks ago. I wanted to incorporate a map somehow (I hadn’t been at that location before, so surely I needed a map to find my way).
For the last few weeks I also try to sketch a bit more to improve and these days it’s mostly birds. So, I used a few of my sketches, traced the outlines on the map (tried to have each bird cover an are that I walked through). Cut out, glued in. So far so good. 🙂
The page is not finished – obviously. I’ll post it again once it’s done.

I can’t wait to see what everyone else is posting for ‘Glue It Tuesday’!!! 🙂

Oh – and just for those who are curious and/or like mail art:
This card is almost done and will be ready to be sent (The bird will be black – it’s an ‘Amsel’ – it songs are very similar to the ‘Robin’ in North America.
Please let me know if you like to swap!

    1. Thanks, Boo! 🙂 Yeah – now I really have to finish that page.

  3. I love birds so this gives me inspiration to begin sketching them and getting better at rendering them by hand instead of relying on stamps and book images. Your page is going to be wonderful to look at if this is any indication.
I would love to swap postcard art with you. Just shoot me an e-mail and we can work out logistics.
    Have a great day!
